Green Relief Inc., with production facilities in Flamborough, Ontario, has received its license to sell cannabis oil, marking a pivotal step in the company’s growth.
“On behalf of myself, co-founder Steve LeBlanc, and everyone at Green Relief, we’re truly excited about being able to provide cannabis oil to our patients,” says Warren Bravo, CEO of Green Relief. “It’s really a testament to my amazing team that has rallied together and worked tirelessly to develop a one-of-a-kind cannabis oil product with such positive attributes.”
The announcement makes Green Relief the only company in the world to produce cannabis oil from dried flower grown via aquaponics. Using fish to grow cannabis in a natural ecosystem environment, aquaponics doesn’t require the use of fertilizers and produces an end product as pure and natural as possible — something particularly important with cannabis oil.
“Given that cannabis oil is so highly concentrated, it’s even more essential that any source material used be as pure and clean as possible,” says Bravo. “We’re pleased that aquaponics enables us to provide this and produce oils of exceptional quality for our patients.”
Green Relief will have two oils available at first launch on April 27, based off of their popular Low Tide and Floating Island dried cannabis strains. Low Tide Oil will be a balanced 2:1 ratio of CBD and THC, while Floating Island Oil will be higher in THC with minimal CBD. Bravo says that the company plans to release more oils in 2018, including a high-CBD variety.
“This is an exciting day, as it represents a significant milestone for our company but even more so for our patients,” Bravo says.
